Death Valley Superbloom

Death Valley is the hottest, driest, and lowest spot in North America, but if it rains enough over the winter all of the seeds hidden in the soil get a chance to show what they can do. I took my old Beetle on a trip to see this normal harsh desert in bloom. By the time I left the harshness came back in the form of high winds that kicked up a sandstorm and shredded the flowers. Nothing lasts very long out here.
