Back on the East Coast for work, I took the train north out of New York and met up with some friends coming out of Boston in the Catskills for a bit of weekend hiking.

After spending the night at a secret camping location just off the road and just outside the gates of a state park we headed up to Elm Ridge where we climbed up to Windham High Peak, one of the 35 Catskills peaks over 3,500’ elevation. Continuing over Acra Point we spent the night at Batavia Kill and then back down to the road to hitch a ride back to the car.

A quick trip to the top of Kaaterskill Falls and it was back to civilization.
