Some thoughts upon the completion of my first winter on the boat (as opposed to putting it up on dry land and ripping around in the desert on a motorcycle until spring):

It may be tempting to cocoon yourself inside all winter and crank the heat...



Especially on the mornings you wake up to find the harbor frozen over...



But some mornings you wake up to ducks...


And then finally the snow melts off...


The wildlife comes out...


And it’s time for another season in Boston.
