Cottonwood Pass
August 10, 2013
Our backpacking trip started at Horseshow Meadows, one of the few roads that penetrates the eastern Sierra Nevada. The pavement ends at 10,000' and the first day brings us up over the Great Eastern Divide to Chicken Spring Lake. We hike along the ridge to the north with views to the wilderness interior of the range and then back out the way we came.
